The Book

9/11/01 may have happened in New York City, Washington D.C., and Shanksville, PA., but it affected the whole nation and the whole world. We became part of a larger community, just as Oklahoma City before us, and New Orleans after us.

The FDNY Cross Country Bicycle Tour traveled through small towns and large cities. Each rider had a brother to remember, a friend to honor. Each person we met had a reason to come out and support our riders, our cause. I invite you to preview a few pages of our book and join our journey. My book is a collection of stories and photographs that celebrate the best of the American spirit.

My vision for this book is to give back to the greater community, to raise awareness at the local level of the sacrifices made by our police, military, first responders and firefighters. When we all stand together, we are much stronger and can effect much change. By allowing communities across the nation to raise funds from this book, they will be able to support those in need in their community. It is my way to “pay it forward”, to make a difference.
